If you already know the exact construction of the item you need, please let us know the details for us to make an offer. Otherwise, we request you to go through the information contained in the free design service section of this site. Your application details will help us advise a suitable design which is most cost-effective. Once the design is finalized, quotes are sent within 1-2 days. Minimum Order: 100 m of each size, type or colour, or Rs. 1000/- (US $ 50) whichever is more (or as specifically advised). Some non-standard conductor sizes (mostly odd American Wire Gauges), or special multi-core cables may need larger minimum orders. APPROVALS The question of approvals is an important one, especially considering that our products are commonly used in critical defence, space and high-temperature, high-reliability applications. As long as the approval refers to the ability of an organisation to consistently fulfill certain clearly defined criteria in a product over a long enough time period, it serves a definite purpose. However, recently there has been a rush of ISO 9000 approval announcements, and such approval is loudly bragged about as a marketing and selling point. This kind of approach seems to indicate that product quality and its continuing improvement is not an inherent commitment of the organization, but is an external influence merely to impress the buyer. This artificial emphasis on approval as an end in itself is not of much interest to us. We believe that unending quest for excellence and innovation in all spheres of activity leads to superior quality of product. The key is not to rest on one's laurels once approval is obtained but to continue improving the processing methods and standards. The ISO approval system, while being too bureaucratic and expensive to implement & maintain (especially for small and medium enterprises), tends to generate a false sense of security among staff that maintainence of certain records is sufficient to maintain quality. They also tend to lose any interest in the idea of continuous improvement for the same reason. Our products have long been approved by Indian Defence authorities through the programme administered by Electronics Components Standardisation Organisation (LCSO), Bangalore. LCSO approach is a 2-pronged one. On the one hand, the product samples are subjected to a detailed test regime as specified in the standards, while on the other, teams of professionals visit the production facility to ascertain if the necessary infrastructure in terms of physical space, manufacturing equipment, test facilities and manpower are available with the Company. This exercise is repeated every three years. With reference to MIL standards, most manufacturers state that their products generally comply with requirements of MIL. However, when it comes to providing actual test results or test certificates as evidence of testing as per MIL specs, the cost of products goes up many times over. We have instituted processes such that 100% electrical tests are rigorously followed, at the same time, they are not unduly expensive. With this, we are able to provide test details with each shipment, which helps to generate confidence in the mind of buyer. This approach has worked well for supplies to advanced nations for the last 15 years. As for UL
approval, our products are highly reliable even when used in
extreme
operating conditions. They are also subjected to stringent 100%
electrical
tests prior to shipment. Considering also the fact that these are
normally
used inside equipments and not in an exposed manner, the necessity and
relevance
for UL approval is debatable. For Free Design Service, Contact: mukul@druflon.com; druflon@gmail.com; nkrishna@druflon.com Teflon ® is a DuPont Trade Mark |
